The base oil for Firefly's CLEAN LAMP OIL is odorless and produces less smoke and soot, as evident in the photos provided. Firefly's clean lamp oil is available in three scent options. Option #1 is the odorless, Pure Formula that allows users to become the "Master of Their Home" by adding their own essential oils to the fuel, starting with one ounce per gallon. Option #2 is the subtle fragrance of pure citronella oil, while Option #3 is the minty fragrance of Eucalyptus oil - both with just a small amount added to the odorless lamp oil.

To conserve fuel and reduce smoke, it is recommended to set the wick ever so slightly above the wick holder, ensuring that all the fuel will burn and resulting in less smoke. If the wick is set too high, it will cause smoke.

For the optimal experience, Firefly provides the following tips: remove any residual fuel from the reservoir before filling with Firefly Fuel, never mix fuels as it will change the burning properties, use a clean wick (if contaminated, dry the wick as much as possible using a paper towel and soak it in Firefly Fuel until fully saturated), and set the wick ever so slightly above the wick holder.
